ABOUT COLE JONES

Bio

Cole Jones was born and raised in Hurley, Mississippi. Growing up as a child, he was always around music. His father, Richie Jones, was a well-known singer on the Gulf Coast, and his music immediately took a major role in Cole's life. By the age of 4, Cole was playing drums. He grew up playing with his dad and other local artists that played in his dad's band. By the time Cole reached high school, he still was playing drums. But by the time he was around 15, Cole decided to pick up a guitar and learn how to play. After a lot of practice, Richie's influence became even more abundant; Cole decided he wanted to sing. By the time he was 16, Cole was playing small local gigs at The Little River Marina. That's where he says he got his start and his love for being on the stage. Any person that goes to a Cole Jones show can all agree on one particular thing: You never know what to expect when he steps on stage. He will go directly from a classic George Jones song into the most recent hit on the radio. His main goal in his performances is to reach out to people and make them feel the power that a song has to offer.Cole is also a songwriter. He plays a role in the South Mississippi Songwriter's Festival every year. He has been writing for several years, and has recently released his debut album "This Town." Jones has played stages all over the southern Gulf Coast.
His major influences range from George Jones, Richie Jones, Sammy Kershaw, Ronnie Millsap, Tracy Lawerence, Daryle Singletary, Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan, Eric Church, and many, many more. If what you are looking for is a good time, then a Cole Jones show is exactly where you need to be.
